ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Hoperise is established to ensure that learners succeed in the early part of their long journey in getting a good education by providing good supporting primary and secondary school studies. The college provides remedial classes and tutorial support to learners in all grades. The learning methods used by the college recognise that learning is a complex social phenomenon where pupils learn better in an interactive environment that involves learning by doing while using clear simple but illustrative examples. In this regard, the college provides computers assisted learning and other facilities that excite interest learning.

The Teachers

Highly qualified teachers with long teaching experience are employed after intensive screening. Thus, in addition to computer based learning, the learners have teachers who help them to go through the school materials, homework’s, and assignments as has been given their schools. Supplementary additional exercise are given to ensure that learners thoroughly grasp what has been taught in their schools

Individual Attention

Each learner has his or her unique problems and, therefore, individually learns at his or her own pace. Teacher works to identify individual problems of the learners and work with each to overcome the problem better, coping with peer pressure and will be assisted to form characters of integrity.

Subjects Taught

Learners from public and private schools will be taught up to 4 subjects of their choice in the afternoons from 2:00pm to 5:00pm Private learners (e.g., from Namcol, Damelin, etc.), can choose to attend in the morning or afternoons. We also offer weekend & holiday classes.

PROGRAMMES

Hoperise runs three inter-related programmes. Each programme prepares the students to improve their performance when they sit for the examination for the second time.

Programme 1

Subjects

We provides tutorial to Grade 10 pupils in eight subjects, namely

• Accounting
• Physical Science
• English (Second Language)
• Business Management
• Geography
• Life Science
• History
• Mathematics

It runs from February 20 up to October 2007.

The programme prepares the students to sit and successfully pass their examinations and thereafter move on to Grade 11 and eventually Grade 12.

Programme 2

It provides tutorial to Grade 12 students who got grade symbols that are too low to enable them to enrol for tertiary education, or who failed in the last examination. It is an extensive as well as extensive programme focusing on the critical areas of the course content. The programme prepares students to sit for the May / June and October / November examinations. It focuses on ten subjects namely :-

• Economics
• Accounting
• Geography
• English (Second Language)
• Biology
• Business Studies
• Mathematics
• Physical Science
• Development Studies

We offer full-time, part-time as well as after School / Holiday / Weekend / Evening Learner paced Revision and Exam preparation programs to Primary & High School students. We also Assist IOL,NAMCOL,UNAM,POLYTECHNIC,MANCOSA learners in assignments projects & tutorial support.
